ASSIGNING GROUP ROLES
Assigning group roles is a good way to make sure that each student is on task, has a sense of importance to the group and can contribute to a class project or discussion.
Making each student responsible for a set of information or goals is also a good way to help them retain this information. Even if they do not grasp the whole picture right away, they are ready with a small set of information that they, and they alone are responsible for.
Consider assigning roles in discussion or projects such as:
- The LEADER
- The RECORDER
- The FACT CHECKER
- The SPOKESPERSON
