Concept Mapping

Concept map

Also called concept webbing, spider diagram, etc.

Concept mapping is another graphic organizer for ideas.

This activity is flexible because it can be done alone or in a group, and promotes critical thinking about how ideas connect and are interrelated.  It also does an excellent job of showing how concepts may be related in a visual way.

This is also flexible because it may be done at any age, kindergarten through university level, involving concepts that are as simple or complex as needed.
