IL in Special Libraries – Corporations

Information Literacy in the Workplacejunecover01.2

This is an older article/post from 2001, but it has some helpful information about communicating information literacy skills to coworkers in a corporate setting. While there are many articles devoted to educating students about IL there are few that address the needs of patrons outside of a traditional school, public or academic library setting.

It also compares the information-seeking process to business processes which may be a helpful model for a corporate librarian introducing these concepts to professionals who may not be frequent researchers.
