Choosing the Best Search Resource for Your Information Need

Noodle ToolsNoodle Tools is a website that provides information literacy resources.  “Choosing the Best Search for Your Information Need” helps users who are looking for specific information use the correct search engine or website resource.  The page is separated by topic, such as “I need to define my topic…” or “I need a specific type of media…”.  Each topic is then separated into more specific sections.

This site is simply designed and easy to navigate.  This is a great tool for K-12 students or even undergraduates who might have to research a topic but don’t know quite where to look.  It helps users think about resources to explore beyond Google and YouTube.  Exploring this topic in an information literacy session would empower students and provide them with effective tools to complete their research.  This resource could be used in class or out of class.
