Kathy Schrock’s Guide to Everything: Information Literacy is an introduction to and resource list for information literacy. The site provides definitions, researched models, web resources, and databases of lesson plans.
Kathy Schrock is an online adjunct professor, presenter, and blog writer focusing on educational technology and information literacy. She’s been a library director, library media specialist, and reference librarian, among many other positions.
This is an effective resource for librarians, because it does not provide lists and lists of repetitive information, but Schrock seems to carefully select her resources to provide the most useful, practical information around. Out of hundreds of websites that provide information literacy resouces, she only lists five, and each and every one are unique and provide strong, credible resources. Beyond information literacy, this is also a great resource for educational technology, including iPad apps and uses in the classroom, creating classroom webpages, and using other Web 2.0 tools in the classroom.
